Jesus Aura Farming Part 3

Of me leaning back in my desk chair, aghast as Jesus is aura farming.

We’re back. We’re back. You already know what time it is. I’ve just been reading through the Book of Luke and vibing with these videos even if I still haven’t used my real camera yet (I get it, I know). But look, the Book of Luke won’t read itself, and Jesus is still out here farming aura, so let’s get into it.

The Parable of the Seeds

Jesus got a crowd following him now, just walking with him town to town. He turns around one day and drops a parable outta nowhere:

“A farmer went out to sow his seed. Some fell on the road, got trampled, and birds ate it. Some fell on gravel, sprouted fast, but withered without roots. Some fell among weeds and got choked out. But some fell on rich soil, and it grew a bumper crop.”
(Luke 8:5–8, paraphrased)

Then he turns around and is like, “Y’all hearing me though?” Classic Jesus. Infinite stories. Infinite parables. And the disciples are like, “Bro, what are you even talking about?”

So he breaks it down.

Four Types of Listeners

Jesus explains the seed is the Word of God.

  • Seed on the road = people who hear it, but the devil snatches it before it can take root.

  • Seed in gravel = people who get hype about God, but it’s just a fad. As soon as trouble comes, they dip.

  • Seed in the weeds = people who start off strong but get distracted by life, money, stress, relationships, goals.

  • Seed in the good soil = people who actually let the word plant itself deep. They hold onto it and let it grow.

I felt that. I’ve been in all four camps. But lately? Lately, I’ve been the good soil. Not chasing God because I “should,” or because I’m in a rough patch, but because I want to know Him. That’s a different type of commitment.

The Lamp and the Secret

Jesus keeps going. He’s like:

“No one lights a lamp and then covers it up. We’re not keeping secrets, we’re bringing everything out in the open.”
(Luke 8:16–17)

This isn’t some exclusive drop. You hear something good? You share it. The truth isn’t for sale, it’s free. Jesus is anti-paywall.

Unlike these fake gurus on Instagram who act like they’ve got the secret to life but make you pay $997 for their “Life Accelerator Blueprint.” Jesus said nah. Generosity begets generosity. Stinginess keeps you spiritually broke.

Obedience Is Thicker Than Blood

Jesus is mid-sermon and someone pulls up like, “Yo, your mom and brothers are outside.”

Jesus goes:

“My mother and brothers are those who hear and obey God’s word.”
(Luke 8:21)

Bro said obedience > bloodline. That’s wild. He’s basically saying, “Family isn’t about DNA. It’s about who’s living in the Spirit with me.” You’re not owed a spot in God’s house because of your last name. It’s about obedience, not proximity.

“Why Can’t You Trust Me?”

Then there’s this one scene where Jesus tells the disciples, “Let’s go across the lake.” He falls asleep on the boat. A storm rolls in. Water’s getting in. Everyone’s freaking out.

They wake him up like, “Master! We’re gonna drown!”

And this man, half-awake, tells the wind and waves:

“Silence. Be still.”

And they listen.

“Why can’t you trust me?”
(Luke 8:25)

The storm didn’t scare him. Our panic does. It’s like he’s saying, “If I told you we’re going to the other side, we’re going to the other side.”

Mob of Demons

Next stop: Jesus lands in some new town and immediately runs into a naked, homeless man who lives in a graveyard. Dude is possessed. Like actually.

Jesus asks, “What is your name?”

And he says:

“Mob. Because many demons live in me.”
(Luke 8:30)

Yo. That’s insane. Like straight-up horror movie level. And what’s wild? The demons beg Jesus not to send them to the bottomless pit.

You know your aura is crazy when demons are like, “Please, bro. Anything but the pit. Send us into pigs, we’ll take pigs.”

So Jesus gives the order. The demons go into a herd of pigs. The pigs freak out and run off a cliff into a lake.

Jesus drowned the demons.

He didn’t even need to, he just did. That’s what you call spiritual warfare with style.

“Please Let Me Follow You”

The dude, now healed and clothed, begs to follow Jesus. Jesus says:

“Go home. Tell everyone what God did in you.”
(Luke 8:39)

Jesus doesn’t just save people, he deploys them. This man went from demon hotel to disciple in one conversation.

“Who Touched Me?”

So Jesus is walking through a crowd when suddenly he stops and goes:

“Who touched me?”

Peter’s like, “Dude… dozens of people are touching you right now.”

Jesus says:

“No. I felt power leave me.”
(Luke 8:46)

I swear, this is the craziest aura moment yet. A woman who’d been bleeding for 12 years, spent all her money, nothing worked, snuck up and touched his robe.

And she was healed instantly.

Jesus turns to her and says:

“Daughter, you took a risk trusting me. Now you’re healed and whole. Live well. Live blessed.”
(Luke 8:48)

That phrase, “You took a risk,” stuck with me. What was the risk? Was it being disappointed? Was it rejection? Was it faith itself?

The Dead Girl and the Laughing Crowd

Right after this, Jesus gets word that a 12-year-old girl is dead. The dad had asked Jesus to come heal her, but it was “too late.”

Jesus overhears and says:

“Don’t be upset. Just trust me.”

When he gets there, everyone’s crying. He tells them:

“She’s not dead. She’s sleeping.”

And they laugh at him.

He goes inside, takes the girl’s hand, and says:

“Little girl, get up.”
(Luke 8:54)

She gets up. Fully alive. He tells her parents not to say anything.

Her existence is the testimony.

Final Thoughts

Jesus didn’t just have aura. He was the aura. His words planted seeds. His presence shifted atmospheres. His power left his body when touched. And when storms or spirits or sickness came up against him?

They obeyed.

That’s who we walk with.
